Beginning Bangla

The main goal of the course is to develop the students’ Bangla competency in four skills. According to their order of importance those skills are: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The assessment of those skills and the building of competency will be accomplished through an assortment of classes which focus on various aspects of learning Bangla. At the end of the course students will be able to attain a proficiency level in all four skills equivalent to “Novice High” in the ACTFL proficiency guidelines. The Beginning Bangla course is divided in four sub-levels: Beginning Bangla 101, Beginning Bangla 102, Beginning Bangla 103 & Beginning Bangla 104.

Advanced Beginning

The main goal of the course is to develop the students’ Bangla competency for four skills. According to their order of importance for the purpose of this course, those skills are: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The assessment of those skills and the building of competency will be accomplished through an assortment of classes, which focus on various aspects of learning Bangla. At the end of the course students will be able to attain a proficiency level for all four skills equivalent to “Intermediate Mid” in the ACTFL proficiency guidelines. The Advanced Beginning Bangla course is divided in four sub-levels: Advanced Beginning Bangla 201, Advanced Beginning Bangla 202, Advanced Beginning Bangla 203 & Advanced Beginning Bangla 204.

Intermediate Bangla

The main goal of the course is to develop the students’ Bangla competency in four skills. According to their order of importance for the purpose of this course, those skills are: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The assessment of those skills and the building of competency will be accomplished through an assortment of classes which focuses on various aspects of learning Bangla. At the end of the course students will be able to attain a proficiency level for all four skills equivalent to “Intermediate High” in the ACTFL proficiency guidelines.

The Intermediate Bangla course is divided in four sub-levels: Intermediate Bangla 301, Intermediate Bangla 302, Intermediate Bangla 303 & Intermediate Bangla 304.

Advanced Bangla

The main goal of the course is to develop the students’ Bangla competency in four skills. According to their order of importance for the purpose of this course, those skills are: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The assessment of those skills and the building of competency will be accomplished through an assortment of classes which focuses on various aspects of learning Bangla. At the end of the course students will be able to attain a proficiency level for all four skills equivalent to “Advanced Low” to “Advanced Mid” in the ACTFL proficiency guidelines.

The Advanced Bangla course is divided in four sub-levels: Advanced Bangla 401, Advanced Bangla 402, Advanced Bangla 403 & Advanced Bangla 404.
